The Anti-Corruption & Trade group (ACT) establishes risk-based processes and controls, delivers solutions to manage Anti-Corruption, Political Activity, and Trade Compliance risk, oversees efforts to encourages fair competition, and manages various other risk and compliance activities. The scope of ACT includes the U.S. and other non-U.S. jurisdictions.
ACT is seeking a Lead Analyst level professional who will manage and execute various tasks related to the Deloitte U.S. Firms’ Anti-Corruption and Trade compliance programs. This role will support aspects of the programs’ due diligence efforts focused on the Deloitte U.S. Firms strategic alliances, other third party relationships and clients. This professional will: support the third party due diligence process, including managing a small team in India; and need to be flexible and able to adapt as program priorities evolve.
This position will report to Senior Manager(s) in the Anti-Corruption & Trade Group.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the programs’ alliance due diligence process, including managing a small team in India.
- Utilize open source and subscription-based research tools to identify and analyze adverse media, enforcement actions and other events involving the Firm’s existing and prospective third party relationships which could present a corruption, fraud, or reputational risk to the Firms.
- Obtain and analyze financial statements and other SEC filings, customer and third party contracts, and policy and procedure documents.
- Draft due diligence reports that succinctly summarize findings and a recommended course of action
- Liaise with stakeholders in compliance, risk management, IT and client service roles to facilitate alliance formation diligence and annual refreshes.
- Oversee and provide feedback on work performed by a team of “first line of defense” reviewers on their due diligence reviews and support recommendations to management on the potential risk of Deloitte’s relationship with a third party
- Maintain diligence and review tracking documentation.
- Collaborate with and represent ACT with leaders, colleagues and global partners.
- Effectively communicate with peers, managers, senior managers and Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant policies, guidelines and compliance program elements, particularly related to third party due diligence.
- Recommend actions and identify issues that need to be raised to team leaders for further guidance, direction or follow-up.
- Gather statistics and develop reports to monitor status and progress for inclusion in presentations to management and senior leaders of the Deloitte U.S. Firms.
- Provide other support to the ACT managers, senior managers and Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors.
- The role will evolve as ACT expand and change to meet compliance needs of the Deloitte U.S. Firms.
- Anti-Corruption, fraud, forensics, or regulatory compliance experience
- Detail-oriented with strong project management, organization, prioritization and time management skills
- Moderate to advanced data analysis skills
- Experience performing acquisition and third party due diligence
- Experience performing investigative research on individuals and entities focused on identifying business risk
- Familiarity with Lexis Nexis World Compliance, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance, Thomson Reuters World Check or similar risk databases, and Factiva
- Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Ability to analyze and/or design internal controls to address potential risks
- Ability to think critically, objectively and analytically
- Proven ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
- Flexibility in working on several processes or projects simultaneously to meet team goals and responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze problems and facilitate solutions

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and aptitude to learn and utilize other technology
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, accounting, finance, or related compliance field
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the regulatory compliance industry, specializing in performing background research on individuals and companies, due diligence inquiries, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance, Anti-Money Laundering compliance, risk assessments or investigations, or other forensic reviews
- Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner or relevant compliance experience a significant advantage
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,570 to $144,695.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
