In this role, you’ll oversee application issues, including troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving. You’ll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Infrastructure Service Support team members, you’ll dig into root cause analysis, production changes, budgetary, and staffing issues. You’ll also draw on your experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global network of innovators.

Business Areas Description

This role provides the opportunity to be part of a global team that covers the Global Clearing business within JPMorgan which includes Futures & Options and OTC Clearing (Credit Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Interest Rates Derivatives). As part of the Production Management group, the Global Clearing Technology support teams’ goal is to provide first class application support to the Global Clearing business for all applications delivered by the Global Clearing Technology group. In addition, working with client service relationship and account management teams you will be an integral part of delivering our technology capability to our external client base.

Job Description

This position is for an experienced applications support resource that will be tasked to demonstrate technical and operational expertise to the Global Clearing business of JPMorgan and dedicated to ensuring that the Global Clearing suite of applications and infrastructure are available and supported in line with defined service level agreements. The role will include involvement in frontline support, incident management and reporting, root cause analysis, productivity efficiencies & improvements, providing support during change management cycles all in compliance with the Controls agenda and regulatory frameworks.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming (Java, Python, .Net, C++, etc.)
  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
