Villa Eyewear is a wholesale distributor of luxury independent eyewear collections (eyeglasses and sunglasses). We import eyewear from Europe to our New York warehouse, and have a team of outside sales representatives covering the entire United States. We service independent optical and optometry practices, as well as some boutique retail stores across the United States. Our small family office, located in Glen Cove, NY, serves as national headquarters for management, customer service, and fulfillment. Seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our small team as a customer service and general office manager. We are seeking a candidate who is interested in working in an environment that requires “wearing many hats” throughout the day. As a small office, your roll will be collaborative and will require you to be organized, eager to learn, and accountable with the overall goal of delighting our customers and sales team. This is an opportunity to work in a friendly office environment with opportunity for growth and further specialization. Candidates must be flexible and prepared to work in customer service, fulfillment, order management, as well as other general office duties. The main tasks of the position at start will be answering customer phone calls and emails, providing information and support to sales representatives, and entering, managing, and fulfilling orders. As a small and growing company, there will be opportunity to take on more demanding roles, and the ideal candidate is one who is interested in a long-term position with a high level of responsibility. Candidates must come to work everyday with the goal of contributing to the overall growth and improvement of the company and delighting our customers and sales team.

General Duties:

– Answering phone calls and emails from customers and field sales representatives.

– Finding solutions to issues/requests, and gaining familiarity with the products to be able to offer alternatives and suggestions.

– Entering orders and prioritizing the fulfillment of orders.

– Following-up with customers and reps about the status of orders.

– Working with warehouse staff to prepare, check, and fulfill orders.

– Entering data into Excel for various reporting needs.

– Updating various software programs to maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information.

– Some other general office duties such as organizing and filing may be needed from time-to-time.
