Customer Support Specialist – Deployment Team (Boston)

SoftBank Robotics America, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Customer Service Support Specialist to work in our Fleet Team, based in Boston, MA.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a candidate that is bilingual in English and Spanish. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, when submitting reports, and in person while on-site at a client’s location. The ideal candidate will be a “robot evangelist” with the ability to articulate the benefits of robots.

  • Install products and train customers at customer sites across the US
  • Be able to diagnose and offer solutions to problems in the field. (Technical and Logistical)
  • Create follow-up documentation regarding installation at customer site
  • Occasional work may be required on weekends, scheduled in advance
  • Domestic travel will account for up to 50% of working hours
  • Respond to inquiries (email, phone and web) from a wide range of clients
  • Determine the root cause of client issues, selecting and explaining the best solution
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information
  • Analyze data and create various reports from this data
  • Be responsible for company resources and equipment


Qualifications: While no single candidate may embody all the qualifications below, an ideal candidate will possess many of the following skills and abilities:

  • Two to three years of customer relations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
  • General proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (advanced Excel preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of networks, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and fluency in Spanish
  • SalesForce or other CRM experience


  • The ability to lift more than 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Valid driver’s license and current passport, with the flexibility and willingness to travel by plane and car as needed.
