Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Data entry

  • Prepares electronic files for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities.
  • Processes source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies before it is entered.
  • Locates and corrects data entry errors or report them to supervisors.
  • Maintains logs of activities and completed work.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all work-related data.

· Index

  • Verifies all documents are legible are in the right order and have stamp date.
  • Proceeds to index the documents.

· File

  • Files hard copies of source documents in appropriate cabinets when they have been processed.

Education and/or Work Experience Responsibilities:

· Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and minimum of two (2) years office experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.

· Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate date timeframes from standard calculations used for credentialing timeframes.

· Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and seek alternatives before approaching Team Lead.

· Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and experience of Windows 2000 and MS Office software. Internet Explorer and Right fax a plus.

· Other Skills and Abilities:

Detail oriented with data entry skills of 8 thousand keystrokes per hour.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standard.

· Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds.

· Must be able to listen and speak clearly on the telephone.

· Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time working in front of a computer screen.

· Must be able to spend 25% of the time typing and 60% of the time on the phone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
