Director of Supply Chain Task Force (Remote)

Reporting to the Executive Director Supply Chain, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your Supply Chain career within the Interiors Business Unit. This role leads a cross functional team (direct and indirect reporting) to include Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Contracts, and Data analysts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Owns the execution of long-term strategy. Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.

  • Leads a team responsible for identifying and justifying (via business cases) new/dual sources of supply.

  • Lead the development of the new sources to achieve quality and capacity requirements to support businesses needs.

  • Will work with Value Stream Leaders in regards to capacity and/or work transfers.

  • Identifies significant opportunities for outsourcing, cost reduction, and Supply Chain process improvements.

  • Develops cost saving opportunities.

  • Establishes and implements elements of supply chain strategies and operational goals

  • Recommends functional strategies and operational plans for outsourcing, cost reduction, and Supply Chain process improvements.

  • Implements cost saving opportunities.

  • Special Project work as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 14 years prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 14 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Program Management of Engineering/Technical field preferred.

  • Certification with Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) preferred.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry preferred.

  • Preferred candidate will possess historical supervisory experience for a team of direct reports.

  • Ability to effectively present information to senior leadership and management and external parties and who has the confidence to stand their ground as needed.

  • Program Management and/or financial experience including development of budgets schedules and performance requirements for project execution.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
