The Events team sits in the Marketing organization and is high functioning, has high visibility and partners across multiple stakeholders including C-Suite throughout the company

Overview of Position
This role is responsible for planning the logistics for national tradeshows and events. The Event Manager will be responsible for ordering all services, coordinating with and communicating the event plan to stakeholders and will be held accountable for budget management of each event spend. The person will liaise directly with stakeholders throughout the company to ensure processes and deadlines as well as goals and objectives are established and met throughout the planning and executing process. The role is responsible for completing project management tasks and alerting management of issues and concerns in the planning of assigned events.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Plan and execute assigned events.
Develop and deliver project plans and timelines for each event incorporating deadlines and requirements across teams.
Work directly with department leadership and cross functional stakeholders to implement processes that adhere to company compliance rules, guidelines and brand standards.
Coordinate with department management on contracts and process contracts according to company guidelines.
Develop and maintain detailed budget based on approved budget for each event
Tactical execution of event
Timely processing and recording of all related expense reports and invoices
Close-out meeting and event summary and related projects
What are the requirements needed for this position?
5+ years of progressive experience with events and tradeshow planning of varying sizes and complexity
Experience working in Cvent (registration, budget management, supplier network) and other events management/project management tools.
Experience planning, designing and overseeing the execution of multi-sized events
organizational skills and creative events vision
strong communication and project management skills
Time management and adherence to deadline.
Ability to make quick decisions while on event site and a strong sense for customer service in all interactions.
Strong Microsoft excel skills.
College graduate (B.A., B.S.), Events Certifications a plus.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Proven ability to read, edit, negotiate, and interpret contractual documentation, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements.
Industry certifications such as the CMP(Certified Meetings Professional), VEMM(Virtual Events and Meetings Management Certificate) or HMCC(Healthcare Meetings Compliance Certificate) would be ideal
How much should I expect to travel?
Approximately 40%(When there are events)
