Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Facilities and Mailroom Support position. This position performs a variety of shipping, receiving and warehousing activities to ensure the timely distribution of goods and supplies throughout the facility.

The Facilities and Mailroom Support role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Verifies the number of packages delivered and signs for deliveries. Maintains receiving records. Traces packages throughout company. Provides documented proof of deliveries with courier tracking formation and recipient signatures for items received.
  • Inspects incoming raw materials for conformance to stated requirements. Keeps accurate inventory of raw materials stored in warehouse and notifies appropriate parties when stock is low.
  • Delivers packages received to appropriate parties or storage areas.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Packages and processes shipments using various courier services and their automated systems.
  • Organize, collect, and prepare assets for recycling to include shredding, electronics, building materials.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and documents maintenance and mechanical repair on equipment.
  • Notifies supervisor of problems which may result in a delay in shipping or receiving packages.
  • Perform daily mail runs to local post office (requires current driver’s license).
  • Monitor daily incoming e-mails and provide customer assistance as needed.
  • Participates as a key player during disaster recovery events providing every effort to provide and maintain normal operational procedures during active times of business continuity planning.
  • Helps Coordinate operations to ensure building services activities are completed daily, including mail delivery and stocking office supplies
  • All other assigned tasks outside of the mailroom
  • Moves, Adds and Changes as far as location assignment within Allen
  • Coordination/meeting and escorting service providers, contractors, etc.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 1-3 years related experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., long periods of standing, ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs. (cart assisted) weight.
  • Ability to become certified to operate forklift.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Basic oral and written communications skills.
  • Basic organizational and prioritization skills.
