We are in search of a Project Manager with experience in delivery of terrestrial and/or subsea fiber deployments.

This positions is full time and starts with a 6 month contract. From there it is likely to be extended or you could convert to a regular hire. The contract is for work at a great company.

Location and Schedule:

• Onsite in Alaska preferred. Remote is acceptable; however there will be times that travel to Alaska for on location is required. Travel expenses will be paid. Expect onsite of approximately two weeks each quarter.
• Candidates must be willing to work 8am – 5pm on Alaska Standard time (AKDT) to be considered.

• There is an expectation that additional overtime hours may be required to meet critical timeline.

Primary Skills – Must Haves

• Experience with delivery of terrestrial or subsea fiber deployments
• Strong communication skills – this position will be responsible for status reporting up to the executive leadership level
• Strong in risk analysis
• Strong in scheduling
• Require knowledge and experience with project management techniques.

• This position will interface with various contractors therefore ability write effective SOW is important

Secondary – Nice to have

• PMP Preferred
• Permitting in Alaska – experience working with Federal, Native and State organizations
• Experience and understanding of RUS (Rural Utility Services) funding
• Experience in logistics in Rural Alaska

Must pass a background check and possible drug test.

This position as listed does not have benefits, but some can be negotiated with commensurate reduction in direct pay.
