Hargreaves Jones Landscape Architecture, an award-winning landscape architectural design firm, seeks a full-time, motivated Controller to play a crucial role in our company. This position will work with the CEO, Principals, Project Managers and Staff in our open studio, in a casual but highly energetic and productive setting.
This position reports directly to the CEO, with both supervisory and functional responsibilities the Professional Corporation. The firm has 25 employees and offices in three states (New York, California, and Massachusetts) with remote staff in other locations.

Responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting and maintenance of all financial records and related recordkeeping systems-Including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Quarterly Financial Reports, and other periodic reporting needs as may be required
Assure compliance with Federal, State, and Local Reporting Requirements
Knowledge of FAR Reporting Requirement
Manage and provide Support for Outside Tax Accountants
Coordinate Financial Audits with Outside CPA Accountants
Manage Banking, LOC and related cash flow needs
Manage Office and Equipment Financial Agreements
Oversee Professional Liability, General Commercial Liability and other Insurances
Oversee Professional Services Project Accounts and Invoicing, including Systems
Manage Payroll, HR and Health Benefits Program: FLEX, and HSA
Manage 401(k) Benefits Programs and coordinate with service providers for related tax and other reporting requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Business
Minimum 5 years of experience, 2 years in a Managerial Capacity
Professional Services experience required, Architectural/Engineering Consultant experience preferred
Tax, Analysis and Compliance experience required
Experience with Deltek Vision and Microsoft Office products
Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills
Self-starter, problem solver, someone not afraid to tackle varying tasks
