Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
Proactively manage the recruitment and selection process
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of company staff
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Maintain and administer our pay plan and benefits program
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Ensure legal compliance throughout all human resource management activities
Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
Updating and maintaining employee records electronically.
Train colleagues on current and new HR processes in the department
Manage the organization?s employee database and prepare reports using HRIS/ payroll system.
Administrate onboardings, salary changes, and terminations in payroll system. Experience with Paychex is preferable
Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
Assist with processing Covid-19 Sick Pay, ensuring organization is complying with NYC local COVID-19 sick leave law
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
HR Manager Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in human resources or related discipline.
3-5 years of experience as an HR Manager
Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
Excellent record-keeping skills.
Deep knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Spanish
Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office, Paychex, and related HR software.
