As an IT Technical Writer you will have the opportunity to organize materials in a visually appealing way with a consistent voice while meeting business goals and objectives. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by enriching and improving documentation to support our IT operating procedures. The team you will be working with is engaging, innovative, creative, and driven to produce high-quality documentation to support our business needs.

So, what will you be doing as an IT Technical Writer?

  • Complete a full training cycle (assess, plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
  • Research and gather data from multiple sources to document operating procedures
  • Organize materials in a visually appealing manner with a consistent voice
  • Produce high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Provide feedback and editing services for the improvement of existing documentation
  • Plan communication and training strategies, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Design graphics for communications, training materials, and websites

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing, or related
  • Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and create documents (writing samples may be asked of you during screenings)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills

Things we consider a plus:

  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Superior command of the English language, including rules and usage
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and curriculum design
  • Superb interpersonal communication skills, particularly where technical information must be conveyed in a clear and convincing way (think marketing within an IT environment)
  • Knowledge or experience working with advanced Office 365 applications, especially SharePoint and Forms
