The Recruiting Consultant is responsible for talent acquisition, developing client-specific recruitment plans, proactively marketing candidates to customers/ potential customers and customer relationship management. Accountable for all employee relations activities while contract employees are on assignment. Work includes research/ sourcing, cold calling, interviewing candidates and managing the placement process and ongoing client relationship management.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Implements organization’s goals, may provide input into strategic goals for human resources learning and development. Conducts research, evaluates data, and reports on findings, supporting the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs. Has familiarity with the human resources learning and development budget, may provide input into spending decisions, particularly as pertains to vendors, systems, and projects. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 12 months – 2 years.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Leading and Developing Talent: May partner with coworkers to advance their development.
2. Project and Change Management: May serve as a team member, or subject matter expert, for formal or department projects. Contributes ideas and helps develop solutions, while balancing demands of project work and routine job responsibilities. Engages effectively in change affecting her/him, communicating appropriately with supervisor. Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change.
3. Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic review of work by manager or direct customer. Researches, analyzes, and evaluates situations and reports on findings. Solves advanced problems.
4. Technical Skill: Advanced knowledge of professional principles and skills. Comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.
5. Community Engagement: Champions Goodwill’s community engagement initiatives. Aware of Goodwill’s community partner organizational and participates in volunteer opportunities as pertains to role and interest. Participates in industry/knowledge groups.
6. Develops and implements development programs and talent processes which support Goodwill’s strategy, organizational goals and guiding principles. Manages projects effectively by creating and driving learning design projects, including developing project plans and leading project communication and training plans. Assists in preparing budget related to development needs. Works within budgetary guidelines. (40%)
7. Continually evaluates programs and initiatives with key success metrics and ROI. Establishes and sustains methods for measuring performance management alignment with organizational goals. Collects data, benchmarks and performance targets. (15%)
8. Serves as an internal consultant by partnering with the business leaders to provide individual, team and organizational effectiveness interventions. Provides change management support using change management frameworks, tools and processes. (15%)
9. Facilitates learning and development programs and interventions aligned with Goodwill University formal programs (e.g., Leadership Institute and Professional Development), Blueprint (e.g., customized leader on-boarding) and employee development. (15%)
10. Manages select recurring projects, programs and/or relationships (e.g. Learning & Development Conference, and/or Leadership Development events). (10%)
11. Analyzes and interprets information from various data sources and best practice research; uses information to recommend solutions to continually enhance learning and organizational effectiveness and to keep language fresh in our tools and aligned to our guiding principles. (5%)
12. Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
2. Requires skills in consultation and coaching using competency framework, public speaking, adult education, group facilitation, analysis and creativity. Experience in full cycle design of a talent management program or process, to include: project coordination, analysis, development, design, implementation, and evaluation. Proven ability to collaborate with HR and organization leadership teams to effectively support the organization’s strategy. Ability to positively influence at all levels of the organization.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word).
4. Proficiency with one or more of the following strongly desired: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative (Acrobat Pro, Audition, Captivate, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro) and GoAnimate.
Ability to travel to satellite (including Illinois) locations to provide consultation, facilitation and to support special projects.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:

Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds. Moves about to accomplish tasks. Remain stationary for extended periods of time, Repetitive use of hands and vision Required while using computer keyboard and work with written and electronic information, ability to hear and communicate to coach, counsel and train individuals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
