Maintenance Coordinator / Planner – Manufacturing

The Maintenance Coordinator / Planner is focused on improving workforce productivity and work quality within the Maintenance Department.

Will be responsible for organizing and coordinating information to enable effective scheduling and project management, and to ensure resources are available as needed for the maintenance team.

· Maintain the facilities maintenance plan and work schedule

· Build and maintain Maintenance & Engineering project list

· Maintain appropriate records and files

· Perform daily review of Mechanic team priorities

· Compare required parts list against available inventory and works with Purchasing Agent to ensure required parts are in stock prior to start date

· Support the identification of critical inventory, optimal stock levels, min/max levels and obsolete parts

· Responsible for maintaining & adjusting where needed, the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule, and ensures all PM tasks/descriptions are consistently reviewed and improved upon

· Support invoice and payment management

· Support other responsibilities as needed


· 2+ years of related experience

· Mechanical/electrical experience; Journeyman or equivalent technical school background a plus

· Good administrative and mathematical skills with the ability to process paperwork

· Computer skills in Word, Excel, Microsoft Project or similar project management tools

· Have good planning and organizational skills

· Able to read blueprints, shop drawings and the ability to generate rough sketches as needed

· Understanding of the proper use of work orders, priorities, scheduling, etc.

· Ability to occasionally lift to 30 Lbs.

· Self-starter / motivated
