The Maintenance Worker will perform maintenance/janitorial services, and security functions at Trilogy properties. These locations will be transitional residences located across the City of Chicago. The Maintenance Worker will complete general repairs and will oversee outside workers as needed. This may include ongoing communication with current and perspective landlords, leasing agents, vendors, and subcontractor partnerships.


  • Perform routine building maintenance duties; i.e. painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
  • Clean machinery, equipment, and exterior of the building, including snow removal
  • Ensure cleanliness of properties and locations are in compliance with COVID protocols.
  • Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport to designated areas
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs; and diagnose and troubleshoot issues
  • Secure facility; and ensure building is locked/unlocked as required
  • Keep inventory of maintenance and housekeeping supplies and equipment; and order necessary supplies for transitional properties as needed.
  • Fill out forms and report maintenance statuses and/or needs to Supervisor
  • Maintain records of all leasing properties and utilities; and complete renewals as needed
  • Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors
  • Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Trilogy regulations
  • Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned


  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination and booster by the date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
  • Minimum one year janitorial experience required
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license with daily access to a well-maintained vehicle with $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance
  • Handyman experience highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations, etc.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and technical procedures/governmental regulations; i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow direction from Supervisors
  • May be required to work outside of regular work hours
