Data Center Technician / Network Tech Level 1/2

We are seeking a Network Tech who has good data center experience. Jersey City Location

*** MUST KNOW HOW TO CONSOLE INTO NETWORK HARDWARE ***

Responsibilities:

• MUST HAVE SERVER HARDWARE EXPERIENCE
• Server, Network Hardware Decommissions
• Inventory updates and management (covered assets and parts depot)
• Service ticket queue monitoring, management, assignment, and update.
• Verification of status lights on, servers, devices, network devices (switches, modems, servers or routers).
• Verification of power connections on servers and network devices.
• Installation/Verification of cables, cable connections and network devices.
• Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within data center operations; recommend solutions and assist in overseeing the implementation
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of network and data center diagrams and detailed site documentation
• Implement schematics, diagrams and written and verbal descriptions to effectively solve engineering project issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with basic network and operating system installations and configurations.
• Rack and stack network equipment including Cisco, Dell and HP devices
• Provide the customer with accurate and timely updates on all project timelines
