Eisner Advisory Group LLC is seeking a Product Owner, Sr. Manager, Partnership Tax Technology position within the Technology Department. This individual partners with other resources from technology, members of the tax team, and third-party vendors in delivering strategic technology initiatives in the partnership tax technology focus area. This individual is responsible for defining product direction creating and managing the product roadmap and budget for our industry leading Global Partnership Solution (GPS) ecosystem.
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and solution-focused individual that can collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. This role can be based in NJ, NY, Long Island, Philadelphia, Illinois or Florida, with flexibility to work remotely with the expectation of collaborating with team in the office.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new features and capabilities in our industry leading Global Partnership Solution (GPS) ecosystem. Responsible for guiding the direction of the product and in building software capabilities with the highest business impact and value-add.
  • Represent business needs and priorities, prioritize and manage the product backlog, and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories.
  • Build expertise on all aspects of all products and processes in the partnership tax technology focus area, in depth understanding of user experience and needs.
  • Establish and manage relationships with Tax line of business leaders, other stakeholders and subject matter experts; Identify and drive communication to keep stakeholders well-informed. Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
  • Lead or support the day-to-day project/sprint activities. Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, story refinements, and team. retrospectives; ensure the team has a clear understanding of priorities and next steps.
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity and to understand product needs.
  • Contribute to user interface and user experience design in collaboration with professional experts.
  • Evaluate and advise on new technologies, architecture, vendors and products and provide thought leadership to senior leadership.
  • Mentor junior team members
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline and 10+ years experience in partnership tax compliance developing partnership technology solutions.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Prior public accounting experience with a mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience required
  • Experience with technology and process deployment efforts – planning, communications, training, change management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders concurrently.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience working with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in an unstructured & collaborative environment.
  • Strong understanding of internal tax department software tools such as CCH Axcess and GoSystem.
  • Ability to assess, enhance and document business processes.
  • Experience with the Agile development process preferred.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
  • Project Management or product owner certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner).
