Role Overview:

This position requires a person to operate simple machinery to manufacture medical device components. Must be able to comply with all governing rules including Smith and Nephew policies, procedures, and adhere to safety and cleanliness practices in the work place.

Fulfills Quality System requirements as described within the Quality System.

Responsibilities:

Operate simple machines and equipment simultaneously with minimal supervision

Perform quality checks utilizing various inspection instruments to record data

Read and understand work instructions, measurement tools and blueprints as necessary

Complete and understand documentation needed to comply with Smith and Nephew policies, Quality Manual and procedures including but not limited to:

• FDA, QSR and various domestic and international standards and regulations.
• Company policies and procedures.
• Data entry transactions and or bar code scanning

Work in a team environment using the skills of communicating, listening and participating in developing continuous improvement on products and processes.

Safety, cleanliness of equipment and company product, including but not limited to:

• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Clean work area as needed.

Complies with all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and job hazard assessments applicable to specified job activities including medical evaluations as required by job function.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Location: US – Mansfield, Massachusetts

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Licenses/ Certifications: Completed certification in multiple areas of manufacturing.

Experience: No experience required. Manufacturing experience preferred.

Competences: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English; Basic Math skills needed. Good mechanical aptitude. Good attention to detail with paperwork, legible handwriting needed. Basic math skills needed.

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Manual dexterity to aid in machine operations
