Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, and in compliance with Welfare Services’ policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible to assist in general labor activities to meet the assigned production plan and maintain a safe and sanitary facility. The incumbent’s duties may include: preparing and assisting with packaging lines for daily production runs, operating a variety of equipment, casing and palletizing, operating lift-trucks, cleaning the facility, completing traceability paperwork including inventory prerequisite and standard operating procedures (SOP), blending and mixing products, and other duties as assigned.
60% Operating production lines including equipment and product set-up
25% Maintain safety and sanitation standards of the facility
15% Monitor the quality of the products, packaging, and codes/labels 10% Warehouse receiving and shipping operations including staging ingredients
4 year degree in business, production or similar field preferred
Six years’ production experience required. Food production experience preferred
Must be capable to complete lift-truck certifications
Must be able to work independently
Must be capable of climbing stairs/ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending over, stooping, work in hot or cold and/or dusty or dirty environments
May fill in for Production Technician Journeyman for short periods of time as needed
Consistently demonstrate principles of Leadership Pattern
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
