Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Prepares reports, studies, and surveys from which a supervisor may develop policies and programs for supply chain management. Assists in the compilation of logistics data for the preparation of proposals for funding.
- Prepares responses to inquiries pertaining to logistics policies or programs within the Department, and from collaborating institutions and partners.
- Performs basic logistics program development in the establishment of program policies and procedures to monitor the supply chain. Develops a tracking system to (1) monitor the movement of products/supplies/samples to and from Rutgers as well as between international sites and (2) verify that all shipments are received by the intended person.
- Maintains liaison with granting agencies, internal operating units (i.e. Purchasing Human Resources, Grants, etc), and domestic and foreign collaborating institutions. Troubleshoots issues that arise in the shipment of products, supplies, samples, and equipment.
- Assists in the computerization of research information related to supply chain management and logistics.

- Bachelor’s Degree plus one (1) year of relevant supply management experience.
- Experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
