Registered Dietitian at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA (Atlanta Metro)..

NFH is a 202-bed, acute-care hospital designated Level II trauma center and provides a continuum of services through its centers and programs, including neurosciences, women’s health services, orthopedics, rehabilitation, surgical services, gastroenterology and oncology. This is a 200 bed hospital recognized for its accredited cancer program and primary stroke center designations.

In this role, the
Registered Dietitian will be:
  • Responsible for a variety of patient units; may include both in-patient and out-patient responsibilities( in the future)
  • 0-1 year experience
  • Nutrition Support/critical care experience preferred
  • Involved in monthly team meetings with the interdisciplinary team
  • Performing patient satisfaction rounds along with monthly test trays, meal accuracies and patient rounds (90% clinical & 10% patient services)
  • Must be self directed, organized and a team player
  • Need to be able to develop rapport with the medical staff
  • Working with the Sodexo Management team to provide exemplary care to patients, staff and community
  • Familiarity with the Nutrition Care Process a plus.
  • CBORD experience a plus
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services

Key Duties

  • Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
  • Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
  • Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
  • Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
  • Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Functional Experience – Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
