Under the general direction of the Manager, Innovation Imaging & Simulation Modeling, this position will be responsible for advanced data-processing associated with robotic and stereotaxic assisted surgeries, Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) image work, encephalography , and 3D modeling/printing for clinical and tissue testing programmatic activities. The sum activities are focused on optimizing procedural and technical work among varied SCH and external stakeholders for better understanding and care of pediatric disease.
Required Education/Experience: – Five years of expertise with computer systems oversight (sys admin) and applied work in biomedical engineering, engineering, or equivalent. – Experience optimizing surgical planning and imaging acquisition for stereotaxy Required Credentials: N/APreferred: – Ten years of experience in computer science/applied BME with evidence of increasing responsibility – Dedicated experience in stereotaxic computing for surgical application – Expertise manipulating medical images, databases, and viewing tools – Experience interfacing and optimizing process within highly matrixed clinical teams (physicians, nurses, transplant coordinator, etc) and demonstrated examples of optimal communication and effectiveness – Experience related to pediatric epilepsy – Knowledge of data collection and post-processing methods specific to EEG – Experience with 3D printing for prototyping and engineering solutions
