Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Product Exploration

  • Work closely with stakeholders from the local government Tax community, partner organizations, and customers to understand needs and trends

  • Translate market and stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions

  • Collaborate with Engineering to innovate on new features and solutions

  • Product Development

  • Create detailed product specifications for individual tax forms and features

  • Translate user requirements into user stories and work-items for engineering

  • Be the “voice of the customer” during specification and development stages

  • Product Success

  • Track and report key metrics to drive future product developments

Qualifications


You’ll Be Great in the role if:

  • Position is based in Austin, TX with opportunity for remote candidates as well

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of Product Management experience in SaaS software

  • Understanding of accounting principles and operation of tax collection processes and software is highly preferred

  • Experience working with local governments preferred

  • Working knowledge of Jira is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint as a user

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work appropriately

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to take projects from an initial description to completion with high independence

  • Ability to balance multiple projects under tight timelines while maintaining prioritization

  • Strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail

  • Familiarity with remote-work collaboration tools including Slack and Zoom
